Tuner by Piascore App Reviews

my favorite tuner

I practice playing a Bb trumpet using this tuner, a spectrum analyzer, metronome, and audio recorder. Studying my sound in the frequency and time domains helps improve my playing. This tuner accommodates transposing instruments. For that reason alone I prefer it over some stand-alone tuners that are fixed in the key of C. This tuner drains the battery. At my level of elementary playing, I need the tuner for some length of time (long tones, lip slurs, and so on). Efficient power consumption would be welcome, but not at the expense of functionality. The term "sensitivity" would better than "sensitiveness" in the "settings" menu. Allowing users to upload their own wallpaper would be attractive, because personalizing your tool encourages you to use it and show it off. Thanks for a nice product.

Good tuner app

(Im a professional cellist) 5 stars as a thank you for a solid tuner app with accurate needle display. Cleartune, a competing app, is sometimes confused by the overtone series of certain cello notes, misidentifying the fundamental pitch. I have not noticed this problem with Tuner. Beneficial features: -Simple and reliable -Pitch calibration on home screen (A=440, 441, etc.) -Large "needle" with customizable sensitivity Areas for future improvement: -Customizable sounds/waveforms for the pitch pipe -iPhone 6 resolution display support

Really good

The free and paid versions were both a disappointment.

Jumps

The very last update made this so sensitive that I cant use it. This was the best tuner ever, I wish it was left alone.

Works great!

Save yourself some bucks on a tuner and just get this app, it works better than most stand alone tuners anyway!

This is the zen master of tuners

I have been playing and writing music for 50 years, everything from classical French horn to jazz trumpet to flamenco guitar to thrash death metal. If you want to quickly and accurately tune any instrument, then this is the app for you! It is a no frills, cut to the chase, easy-to-use tuner. It IS exactly what you are looking for.

Simple and easy

Also pretty useful. More than just guitar. Well worth the purchase.

Perfectly Satisfied

Ive bee using it for 6 months now. Works perfectly with iPhone 6. Good visibility on the music stand while practicing.

Love this app!

It does just what I need-- I can tune to it visually or by sound, play a tone while I practice to make sure Im staying on key, and adjust the tuning to just where I need it. Great app!

Buy this app!

Great app!

PERFECT (& Ive never used a tuner)

for almost 30 yrs, Ive been playing some kind of instrument that requires tuning (drums, too). being mainly a guitar player & a drummer, Ive never seen the reason for a tuner since I can reference pitch from memory of songs, etc. its not "perfect pitch", but maybe a slow version of perfect pitch that might be a few KHz off. Its incredibly accurate. Ill use the Martin Tuner (especially on my Martin) sometimes. its totally 100% free with some very good to tuning tips and the secret "Martin Loops" at the tuning machines that keep them pretty tight. but its not got the frequency sensitivity that this one does - this is the best tuning app ive used.

Please optimize for iPhone 6/+

Would just like a little less blurriness but otherwise the best tuner app on iOS.

Just what I needed!

Purpose of my purchase: 1. Am I playing my this particular note correctly? Is it suppose to sound like that? 2. Is the G string on my violin in tune? Did I turn the peg enough? Too much? Both questions addressed. So program well made.
